The Zion Conservatory of Music was invited to participate in Teen Read Week 2011, October 16 through 22. The Wednesday evening program gave teens the opportunity to “read” through music. They were given the opportunity to create their own songs with music editing software and to experience a formal music lesson. Jo Huber, voice instructor at ZCM, met with teens in group lessons and led them through good breathing techniques and other tips they might be shown at their first voice lesson.
