The Zion Conservatory of Music bids farewell to Mrs. Carol Joy Capp, who went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 at the Jonesboro Rehabilitation Center in Jonesboro, Georgia.
Carol was born August 14, 1929 in Zion. She taught music at the Zion Conservatory for over 60 years and was an active member of Christ Community Church of Zion where she provided music for worship services over the years and was Past President of Women’s Christian Services. For 17 years she played piano at Midwestern Regional Medical Center worship services on Wednesday mornings.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion, with Pastor Ken Langley officiating. Private interment will be later at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Zion Conservatory of Music have been suggested.
