The Zion Conservatory of Music bids farewell to Mrs. Carol Joy Capp, who went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 at the Jonesboro Rehabilitation Center in Jonesboro, Georgia. Carol was born August 14, 1929 in Zion. She taught music at the Zion Conservatory for over 60 years and was an active member of Christ Community Church of Zion where she provided music for worship services over the years and was Past President of Women’s Christian Services. The Zion Conservatory of Music was invited to participate in Teen Read Week 2011, October 16 through 22. The Wednesday evening program gave teens the opportunity to “read” through music. They were given the opportunity to create their own songs with music editing software and to experience a formal music lesson. During the month of August, the annual registration fee for private lessons will remain at $30 for the first student in the family and $20 for the second. Beginning September 1, the fee will increase to $32.00 and $22.00. Register today!
