The Zion Conservatory of Music:
Getting Started
Registration:
Each year, a $30 non-refundable registration fee is required for the first student of a family, and $20 for the
second family member. Additional family members are not charged for registration. A student taking lessons for multiple
instruments is only required to pay one registration fee. Registration can be done at any time of the year, but you can save
$5 if you register by August 1. All returning students as well as new students need to register
every year. Registration includes filling out the registration card, paying the registration fee and signing the form
indicating your agreement with Conservatory policies and procedures as outlined in the Student Handbook.
New! An updateable version of the registration form is available by clicking on the link below. Please note that you cannot save data typed into this form. Type in the information on your computer, print it, sign it and return it to the Zion Conservatory of Music either by mail or by dropping it off at the office.

Selecting a Teacher:
Teachers can be requested depending on availability. Generally, students are assigned teachers by the
Conservatory office and/or Dean. In departments where there are multiple teachers, we try to make the best match possible
based on student schedules, musical background, personality and learning style. All teachers are well qualified, with degrees
in their field of music, or significant professional experience. Many are also active performers.
Scheduling Lessons:
After registering, you will be contacted by your teacher to schedule a weekly lesson time. Teachers' schedules
vary. Most offer lessons on weekdays after school and in the evening. Occasionally a teacher will offer Saturday morning hours.
Some teach home-schooled students earlier in the day. You and your teacher are responsible for setting a regular lesson time.
